Bushfire survival plan workshop - Mountain River/Crabtree

Saturday 12 October, 2-5:30pm

Mountain River Hall

  • What will you do if bushfire threatens your home?
  • Have you prepared a bushfire plan?

This bushfire survival plan workshop will help you with the practical details of your household's written bushfire survival plan, with a focus of a written 'leave early' plan. The workshop is interactive style and includes a scenario activity investigating plan options of:

  • when to leave,
  • where to go,
  • how to get there,
  • what to take,
  • who to tell, and
  • the backup emergency 'nearby safer place' option.

A 'stay and defend' plan should also include a contingency of 'leaving early' for when fire conditions are extreme or catastrophic. So come along and learn more about bushfire planning in preparation of this year’s fire season.
